Following the announcement made by Datuk Liow Tiong Lai and his group to call off 1128 EGM, I hope that all MCA leaders and Central Committee members could be sincere and hold on to the spirit of mutual respect in discussing fresh party poll matters.
Therefore, I hope that all MCA leaders could sit down in peace and discuss on fresh party election so that we could all work together towards a united MCA.
I also welcome Liow and his group’s decision to call off the EGM and I feel that this is a good start to resolve the party’s conflict.

Liow's faction announcement today to cancel the 1128 EGM is absolutely a face-saver procedure and it's so predictable. The 1128 EGM will not succeed to start with. Honestly, who cares about the MCA infighting – we prefer to see a united MCA standing for us immediately -- this is the view share by majority of the Chinese community. One solution to reunite the MCA is completely eliminating the trouble maker (Liow's faction) from the CC as their number is small. The past few weeks have seen them making enormous embarrassment to the MCA by threatening to call for 1128 EGM and re-election. It will be disheartening and disappointment to see Liow’s faction re-elected to their way.

It's obvious..they do not have the guts to go on with the 1128 EGM. It's just empty vessels making the most noise.
Well done to you and OTK..you stood firm to their demand and finally you have exposed their fox tails.
I suspect they were the trouble makers that has stirred up the emotions of OTK with you and probably were the people behind your sacking. Sad for OTK who has found out the true values of his trusted friends.

Without further ado, you must get rid of firstly the three stooges and secondly the people supporting them. Fear not because they are and have been no good to MCA and will also be so to which ever parties they joined. Then only you can have peace and you can have your 100% concentration to develop MCA for the benefit of the Chinese and the coalition partners.

I am deeply disappointed that a few trouble-makers can hold the Party to ransom and allowing external forces to decide the future of MCA. Why should we allow the minority to dictate and force upon the majority who had decided to go ahead with the Unity Plan. If they are responsible and sincere leader, they should all go for the Unity Plan. Instead they are being well-treated by external forces with such respect for being trouble-makers. Do you Dato' still recall the MCA Snoop Squad case. How can we trust such people. I personally feel that the elections should involve all levels from the branch right up to the CC level including both the Youth and Wanita wings. Then MCA can restore democracy and reflect the true wishes of the members. Dato' don"t be played out by these trouble-makers. To be honest Dato' You and OTK form a good team.
Why call it off? Who calls whose bluff?

Dr M: Fresh polls only to make MCA weaker
PUTRAJAYA (Nov 2, 2009) : MCA holding fresh polls will only divide the party and make it weaker, said former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
"Because the people who lose will not be reconciled. So in the end you will have a weaker party," he told reporters after witnessing a collaboration signing ceremony between three companies - Mega Signet Sdn Bhd, Return 2 Green Sdn Bhd and Bio Green Bags Sdn Bhd - here today.
He said the problem now in the MCA, MIC or Umno was jostling for leadership positions.
"They are not thinking about the party, the party is just a horse on which they ride. They think that by associating themselves with a political party, they can get something in return," he said.
Mahathir was asked on reports in newspapers yesterday that Wanita MCA wanted MCA to hold fresh polls.
He said splits were happening in political parties because their leaders were not interested in the country or the interests of their respective parties.

1. all parties in mca shall stop making press conference... let's the president do his job.
2. all cc member shall step down to trigger new election... for all post. why call for election if ketua wanita and ketua pemuda not included?.. any specialilies? don't be a joker..
3. 6 months shall be ample time to prepare for mca election not 60 days.. why so desperate? if u are good and capable, members will elected you for whatsoever hurdle.. is that incorrect?? unless u got personal agenda or in hurry for something... aaaha.. people are much awaiting to know!!
4. mca party constitution need to be carefully relook and review to avoid same problem in future.

The past impression is that MCA is under the thumbs of UMNO.
The present impression is that nothing has changed.
In politics, perception plays an important role. At the present rate MCA is sliding down the slope whilst holding UMNO's hand, not knowing that UMNO is going down the same path too!
As said by OTK, MCA should be left alone to make his own decision on party matters else it will lose its self-esteem in the eye of Chinese community. Do always keep your head high to fight off the gang of 3 who stooge so low to tarnish the good name of MCA.
how this LTL think and what him really want make most of the Malaysian chinese sick. I do not understand for what LTL is fighting for. The MCA future leader LTL, WKS and CMF were totally out of list.

Time to reshuffles the whole movement at MCA. But i think there will be a lot of price to pay for the damages that done to the party.
Leadership tussle will be a great challenge for the survival of party.

It is wonder why with 2/3 majority the GUP cannot be executed. The minority group has apparently disregard the MCA'constitution and the practice of democracy. Is it the group has the support of the God father and the majority is scare to antagonise the big brothers.
You need to show the Chinese that MCA is an independent party and takes no order from any outside parties, if you wish to regain support.
After 25, if there is insufficient numbers of resignation required to call for a fresh election, show the rakyat MCA will proceed with the GUP with or without the minority group

Come 25/12/09,a decision has to be made irregardless of whether there is further resignations by the Rengades to force a fresh poll.
The 13 CC Members has resigned expressing their unhappiness with the present leaders mainly you and OTK.
Therefore the Leaders has to respect their decisions and accept their resignations with regret.
As there are alot of cleaning up to do for the coming elections, the vacuum left by the retired 13 CC members has got to be filled up very quickly and to move on.
Legally they have resigned and acceptance of their intentions by the Management of MCA is legitimate.
