（森美蘭‧芙蓉9日訊）馬華總會長拿督斯里蔡細歷指出，華印裔不當兵有其他理由，並非不效忠國家，這兩個種族對國家的忠心與效忠不應該受到質疑。
他今晚出席大馬販總59週年晚宴時，針對國防部長指華印裔不當兵其中一個原因可能是愛國精神未夠高的言論，發表看法。
蔡細歷表示，質疑他人對國家的忠心就是侮辱他人，華裔已多次表明忠於國家，而一些企圖破壞政府的激進份子也不是來自華社。
他指出，發表類似言論者的人，應該接受幹訓，學習提高敏感度、如何說話及互相尊重，不要說出傷害他人尊嚴的言論，這也不符合一個馬來西亞的精神。
他也認為，有幾名巫統部長在說話時應該更加敏感，不要傷害他族的感情，各族才能更融洽相處，對馬華而言，指華印裔不效忠國家是一竹竿打翻整船人。
“對國家忠心與否是不分種族的，領導人不該傷害其他人感受，首相納吉也應勸告這些領袖要謹慎發言及互相尊重。”
他表示將在下次的國陣會議中提出此事，以便各造不要再挑起華裔不忠於國家的課題。

Government officers particullary those in higher ranking should think carefully , logically and critically before they make any comment . They represent not only the government but also the country.What ever illogical comment made not only affecting their personal images , but also badly affecting the plight , dignity and image of our country .
I believe we have lots of profession in the country qualify to become ministers. The illogcal comments made by a few government officers recently has reminded us that it is high time for us to make professional excellence and integrity as prior criterial in the appointment of government officers .We do not want the world to view us as people who can not think objectively , critically and logically , because this will jeorpase our transformation programes towards developed state.
The difficulty to recruit arm forces is not peculiar to Malaysia only , It applies also to coutries like Canada , USA ,Australia ,For that reason those countries also recruit foreign imigrant as members of their arm forces.In fact there were immigrants from Hong Kong and mainland china who has joined the Canada arm force as chef in order to stay survive in the country.
Our neigbour countrie overcome the difficulty to recruit arm force by imposing compulsory national Services, we also can also adopt the same method. Problem can not be solved through emotion but through logical thinking and critical thinking and wisdom.
Anyhow , as a passionate MCA member I think it is high time for MCA to encourage Malaysian Chinese to join rela and Reserserve force.It is also our duty to explain to the chinese community the benefits of joining arm forces. The carrer in arm force is in fact very challenging and rewarding . In the course of serving arm force one will be trandormed into a better person through character building , leadership training and skill training as evidenced by one of our prominent leader Tun Dr. Lim Liong Sik who had been trained in royal military college before.

国防是国家治理的重要一环，它所包含的事项不仅限于军事力量及而与。也关系到国家的经济，治安，科技及教育。孙子兵法的鼻祖孙滨在几千年前就有提到这一点。1997年亚州国家所遭遇到的经济风暴也证明了这一点理论，一个国家可以在没有受到武力的攻击下被催亏。因此生在全球化的我们对全方面的国防 这一概念应该更有所领悟。以此类推不当兵其中一個原因可能是愛國精神未夠高的言論是不能成立的。
每个国民在国防都是有贡献的，军人也是要在父母照顾，到学校受教育之下，才能长大成人为国贡献。没有民众参于生产，军方也无法获的所需的物资及配备。
兵力不足仅是发生在我国，在先进国家如美国及加拿大也是有这种现象因此这些国家也接受外来移民成为职业军人，有不少来自中国大陆及香港的移民因为找不到工作而成为加拿大的伙头军（厨师）。
为了鼓励更多年轻人加入国防部门,国防部及相关的人士,应告诉他们，国防部的功作是高回酬及高挑战的功作,我认为体格建状的华人子弟因考虑加入国防部队。因为国防部门能提供它的属下非常好的训练对个人的将来发展非常有帮助。有不少的华人领导人，如马华前会长曾经在国防部接受训练及服务过。
