GUA MUSANG: Every by-election is important because there no single constituency will remain a political party's safe seat indefinitely, said MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek on Saturday.
"The response from Chinese voters is satisfactory, but, for the MCA, the support does not come naturally and we will have to continue to work hard for it.
"Galas by-election is highly important to us," he told reporters after meeting voters at Kampung Baru Gua Musang Saturday morning before ending his three-day visit to Galas constituency.
Dr Chua said he was confident that the voters here had the ability to differentiate which party really served them and that which just appeared during a by-election.
He said that the Pakatan Rakyat rarely kept the promises it made during a by-election.
